Single detached cottages P700-800 & Duplex Room P900(Beachfront) good for 2person only. Additional P100 charge for more than 2pax. Back room rate P500 - P600. All fan room only with bathroom and shower inside. Low season rates on the Beachfront for Single detached cottages are P500, Duplex room P600-P700 and at the Back it's P450-P500.

My boyfriend & I arrived in El Nido with no accommodations pre-booked. When we were looking and comparing all the accomodations that El Nido had to offer we felt that the rooms at Tandikan beach cottages were best suited for our needs. We booked a basic beachfront room (#4) with no A/C for 1,000 PHP a night. Upon check in, we pre paid Cory, the front desk receptionist, the full amount for two nights stay (2,000 PHP). The stay was overall an ok experience. There was not a lot of interaction between us and the staff. When it came time to check out & catch our morning shuttle van to Puerto Princesa, Cory claimed that we didn't pay and of course we were never issued a receipt, so that was her argument. The owner took Cory's word over ours, which escalated the situation, as they both insisted we pay what was supposedly owed to them. We had to settle the situation promptly as our shuttle van was about to leave. Wow! What an inconvenience!!! The owner went on to say, not to worry and that we could catch the next van two hours later... We could not believe what was happening to us... We told the owner that we would report it to the Police if it wasn't settled promptly, which he did not want. After a few minutes of argument, we picked up our luggage & walked. Fortunately, we did not miss our shuttle. We suspect that Cory pocketed the cash upon payment. Could it be possible that the owner was in on a plan to get us to pay more? Or is he just completely unaware of what his employee is doing, blindly entrusting that she would never do such a thing? None the less, we could not believe the fact that such a scam would be tried on us. This situation has set a bad reputation for Tandikan beach cottages, it's owner & it's employees. Not only that, it also hurts the overall tourism industry in El Nido. Who wants to go on vacation to a place were you always have to worry about getting stolen from or taken advantage of. Overall, a sad, sad, sad story. We would recommend that you do not stay in Tandikan beach cottages. What an awful experience
